T20 World Cup Netherlands Cricket Squad 15 Member Name Announced

 In their fourth appearance at this year's Men's T20 World Cup, the Netherlands have chosen their 15-player group as they begin the first round in the competition. The group is led by veteran Pieter Seelaar, twelve men are returning to last year's World Cup Qualifier of two years ago. Tobias Visee and Shane Snater being added to the team as reserve players who travel with the team.

"Our debut appearance in the highly talked about Super League is no doubt the most important chapter in the Dutch Cricket History book. We're hoping to start this chapter by playing a highly intense series against our formidable rivals and friends Ireland," Netherlands coach Campbell declared.

The Netherlands haven't qualified for the Super12s round at this point and will instead need to participate in an eight-team qualifying stage to get into one or both groups of the primary round. The Dutch are grouped alongside Sri Lanka, Ireland, and Namibia in the group A of the initial round. They will play in their first game against Ireland on the 18th of October at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

"We are determined to support the best young talent in our squad and I'm thrilled to be able to add Musa Nadeem to our long list of debutants who have made their debut recently. His performance in the Topklasse has been exceptional as has his tireless work over our prolonged absence from international cricket because of Covid. It will be a very difficult series, but I am confident that the players are set to go, and it will be an thrilling season of cricket."

Following his exclusion from The World Cup Qualifier squad, 37-year-old Stephan Myburgh earns a spot in the team, on the back of an impressive time of running both domestically as well as in international white-ball games. Myburgh has experience from the previous T20 World Cups, scoring 282 runs, with the average 31.11 as well as the strike rate at 145.83. The 31 year-old Logan van Beek and 21-year-old Bas de Leede are new members of the team at the Qualifier. van Beek returning to the Dutch squad as well as de Leede making his mark over the past 18 months.

De Leede follows in the footsteps of his father Tim who played in every one of the Netherlands Cricket World Cup matches from 1996 until 2007 and was awarded the Player of the Game award in a match of 4/35 against India in 2003.
